Through many years of contacts to fish farmers, it became obvious that it still gave reasons for concern even though feed constantly improved.
Comparing the feed served to the fish, with their natural wild life prey, the content of carbohydrate came into focus.

The reason for carbohydrate in feed is that it functions as a binder and a structure forming agent in pellets, but do not contribute to the nutrition of the fish.
Increasing or decreasing the amount of carbohydrate affects the appetite likewise at the fish, concluding, that carbohydrate should be eliminated in fish diet.
